In occasione di Torino Smart City Festival Le Città Visibili, Action Sharing, warm up di Share Festival 2012, presenta Cymatics di Suguru Goto.
Una scultura cinetica sonora che racconta la visione dell'artista della natura, che armonizza alcuni elementi simbolo in un ambiente tecnologico. Onde sonore agiscono su materiali naturali come l'acqua mettendola in moto per creare ambienti in armonia. Cymatics crea ambienti metafisici e spirituali allo stesso tempo. Un luogo dove l'arte è un ponte tra realtà materiali e spirituali, tra tecnologia e natura, tra umanesimo e scienza: l'acqua viene messa in moto per creare ambienti dove onde sonore trasformano i materiali stessi in forme geometriche. Musica da vedere e immagini da sentire sono il risultato di un percorso creativo intrapreso dall'artista per trovare una rappresentazione sensoriale della complessità della percezione dell'uomo.
Questa scultura interattiva, prodotta con il LIM, sarà alimentata da energia solare. Questa integrazione tra natura ed innovazione tecnologica è realizzata grazie al sostegno della Camera di commercio di Torino, al supporto del Museo Regionale di Scienze Naturali, Enviroment Park, Vass Technologies e Gallo Legnami.
Suguru Goto, compositore, musicista, inventore e artista multimediale, è considerato tra i più innovativi e portavoce di una nuova generazione di artisti giapponesi. Le sue opere sono state presentate in importanti festival, quali Resonaces / IRCAM, Sonar, ICC, Haus der Kultures der Welt, ISEA, NIME, STRP Festival 2009, Biennale di Venezia, Share Festival. Action Sharing è una piattaforma creata nel 2006 dal ramo produttivo di Piemonte Share dove artisti, ingegneri, informatici e aziende del territorio si possono incontrare per sviluppare dei progetti di ricerca sul filo conduttore dell’arte e dell’innovazione sostenuta dalla Camera di commercio Industria Artigianato e Agricoltura di Torino.

05/28/2012 Cymatics at Smart City Festival ENGLISH Opening May 30th at 07.00 pm Open to the pubblic from May 31st until June 5th 2012 from 12.00 to 8.00 pm – free entry Piazzale Valdo Fusi - Turin Cymatics by Suguru Goto On occasion of Turin’s Smart City Festival Visible Cities, and as a warm-up to Share Festival 2012, Action Sharing is proud to present Cymatics by Suguru Goto. Cymatics is a kinetic sound sculpture that expresses the artist’s vision of nature, which harmonises a series of symbolic elements in a technological context. Sound waves act on natural elements such as water, bringing it into motion to create harmonious environments. Cymatics creates environments that are both metaphysical and spiritual at the same time. A place where art becomes a bridge between the material and spiritual worlds, between technology and nature, the humanities and science. Water is put into motion, creating an environment in which sound waves transform the element into geometrical shapes. Music to be seen and images to be heard are the outcome of a creative tour de force by the artist, in his search to give a sensory representation of the complexity of human perception. The interactive sculpture, produced in partnership with the LIM, will be powered by solar energy. This blending of nature and technological innovation is brought to you by the Torino Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Regional Museum of Natural Science, the Environment Park, Vass Technologies and Gallo Legnami. Suguru Goto is a composer, musician, inventor and multimedia artist, considered one of the most innovative representatives of a new generation of Japanese artists. His works have been presented at leading international festivals, such as Resonaces/IRCAM, Sonar, ICC, Haus der Kultures der Welt, ISEA, NIME, STRP Festival 2009, the Venice Biennale and the Share Festival. Action Sharing is a platform created in 2006 as the production arm of Piemonte Share, bringing together artists, engineers, computer scientists and local companies to develop research projects that combine art and innovation. The installation will be opened at 7 PM on 30th May, 2012 in Piazzale Valdo Fusi, Turin, by Guido Bolatto, Secretary General of the Torino Chamber of Commerce, and Enzo Lavolta, Torino City Councillor for Innovation.
